The beginning of April marks the end of the first quarter of the year and the beginning of the second quarter. Kickstart this second quarter by organizing some exciting and interesting sales contests for your team. These contests will help in motivating them to achieve greater sales results in this first month of the second quarter.

1. Song of success
Why has this contest been selected for April? National Karaoke Week
Goal: Organize a team-based sales contest where you encourage all the sales teams to try and hit a sales revenue target by the end of the month. For example, you set a target of 1 million for each team to achieve
Duration: 1 month
Points: Assign points in the following way: 100 points for achieving 30% of the revenue target 300 points for achieving 50% of the revenue target 500 points for achieving 100% of the revenue target
Winner: The team that first achieves the revenue target by the end of the month
Reward: A karaoke night in the office with food and drinks for the winning team
2. Take a chance

Goal: To advance those opportunities that are at a low stage in the sales pipeline or that which have been stuck at some stage in the pipeline for a long time without any advancement
Duration: Two weeks
Points: 10 points to advance each opportunity. Give extra points for advancing opportunities that have been open or in the pipeline for 30 days or more (or whatever timeframe is considered overdue for your sales cycle).
Winner: Declare the rep who advances more opportunities than everyone else in the team as the winner

Goal: To get your reps to make sales calls to as many qualified leads as they can in a given timeframe.
Duration: 3 hours
Points: 5 points per call made
Winner: The rep who makes the maximum number of calls in those three hours will be declared as the winner
Reward: The winner gets to enjoy drinks and appetizers at a famous local restaurant
4. Hopping offers
Why has this contest been selected for April? Easter
Goals: To motivate your reps to increase the number of offers that they send to the clients
Duration: One week
Points: 50 points per offer sent
Winner: The person who succeeds in sending more number of offers than the others
Reward: You can have various gifting options for the winner here. Like,
- Easter treat at a famous restaurant
- Plastic eggs which are filled with various exciting prizes
- Bunny caps etc
5. Health is wealth
Why has this contest been selected for April? World health day
Goal: Use this contest to motivate your reps to maintain a healthy sales pipeline. Meaning the pipeline should never dry up nor should it have any backlogged opportunities at any point in time during the contest period
Duration: One month
Points: There will be no points here
Winner: If the pipeline is maintained well consistently for one month, then everyone in the team will be declared winners and everyone will receive rewards

Goal: To encourage your sales reps to bring in leads for a newly launched product
Duration: 2 weeks
Points: 10 points per lead generated
Winner: The rep who brings in the highest number of new product leads by the end of the 2 weeks period
Reward: The winner receives a huge cash incentive and a bonsai plant for her desk
7.High-five to success
Why has this contest been selected for April? National High-five day
Goal: To get your reps to compete with each other to close more number of deals
Duration: One month
Winner: The top 3 reps who close more deals than everyone else in the team
Reward: Organize a public ceremony in the office where the head of the sales department calls the winners on to a dais and high-fives them for their success. And then they also receive a medal and a huge cash bonus
