Christmas contests for Retail Stores

Christmas is certainly the most exciting time of the year for a lot of people. Especially, for the shoppers and the retail stores.
Are your sales troops in your retail store already feeling the spirit of christmas? You can double up their excitement and motivation by organizing the following Christmas-themed sales contests.
1. Dashing through the snow
Goal: To get your reps to actively sell the products that are under Chritmas offers
Duration: One month
Points: 50 points per product sold that is under offer
How to run this contest? Organize this contest for a month to motivate your sales reps to actively sell the products that are under offers for Christmas. Track each rep’s progress on a live leaderboard. At the end of the contest period, reward the top 3 reps who surface at the top of the leaderboard by selling more number of products that are under the Christmas offer.
2. Ho Ho Hooooo!
Goal: This contest is suitable for larger retail stores where each square foot in the store is occupied by one kind of product. Like:
- One section for apparels
- Another section for electronics etc
Now the goal of this contest is to get your store staff working in various sections of the store to generate as much sales as they can in their respective sections during this festive season Duration: One month
Winner: All the employees in the section which has generated the highest amount of sales
How to run this contest? Organize a sales per square foot sales contest here and encourage your reps to try to increase sales in their respective sections. By the end of the contest period, calculate sales in each square foot in your store. Select the square foot/ section with the highest sales as the winner and reward all the employees who are working in that section
3. Jingle All the way
Description: To get your reps to provide best service to the shoppers of the festive season and garner positive reviews from them.
Duration: One month (before Christmas)
Points: 50 points for each positive customer review
How to run this contest? Organize this contest for one month before the Christmas. Encourage your reps to provide best service to the customers and garner positive reviews from them. Track the number of positive customer reviews earned by each rep. At the end of the contest period, reward the person who has garnered the highest number of customer reviews.
4. Santa Vs Elfs
Goal: You must be having some newly launched products in your store for Christmas. Focus this contest on improving the sales of those new products. Pit the floor managers against the floor staff. Have them compete against each other in selling more number of units of the newly launched product
Duration: One month
Points: 10 points per new product sold
How to run this contest? Organize this contest for a period of one month and encourage your floor manager to compete against the floor staff in selling more number of new products that you have launched for Christmas. Keep a track of the number of units of the new product sold by the floor manager and the floor sales staff. At the end of the contest period, reward the floor manager or the floor staff whoever outperforms the other in selling more number of products.
5. Surprise in the Stockings
Goal: To encourage your reps to upsell or cross sell the products
Duration: One month
Points: 100 points per each upsell or cross sell made
How to run this contest? Organize this contest for one month before the Christmas. Encourage your reps to upsell or cross sell the products to the customers. At the end of the contest period, reward the person who makes more number of upsells or cross sells. Reward them with a stocking with a surprise gift inside it.
